At 12:46 KVFD was dispatched automatically with Company 12 for a structure fire on Wishbone Drive. Engine 55 and Attack 5 responded with six personnel. KVFD assisted with ventilation, salvage/overhaul and some interior attack. Newburg was also on scene assisting. All of the apparatus on scene had a rough time responding to the call and trying to clear the scene due to the road conditions. We’d like to thank Company 8 Newburg for helping us get unstuck out of a ditch and off a slick hill today, appreciate you guys greatly! Engine 55 cleared the scene shortly after 3:00 p.m.
While working our way out from Wishbone, Companies 12, 8 and 5 were paged for another structure fire on Blazer Road at 2:30. KVFD sent a crew of three in Attack 5 to go assist Tanker 12’s crew on this call. Engine 55’s crew offered assistance to the Blazer road command but were told we could return to service. Attack 5's crew assisted with suppression and overhaul of the structure. Attack 5 cleared that scene a little after 4:00 p.m.
