Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to assist Company 12 (Tunnelton) and Company 8 (Newburg) with a structure fire on JC Road in the Tunnelton area. First-arriving units reported heavy smoke showing from the residence. Kingwood firefighters initiated the initial interior attack. Firefighters from Tunnelton and Newburg arrived shortly thereafter, providing additional manpower for both interior and exterior operations. Due to the remote location, Company 4 (Fellowsville) was requested to supply additional water. Company 2 (Aurora) was also requested to respond with their air cascade to support SCBA cylinder refills, successfully refilling 18 cylinders on scene. Company 1 (Albright) was requested for additional manpower but was instructed to stage and provide coverage for any additional calls for departments committed to the incident. Firefighters worked aggressively to bring the fire under control. All units cleared the scene after approximately three hours. KAMP Ambulance was on scene to assist, no injuries were reported.
