On Friday the 8th of August, probationary/trainee firefighter Dylan Hawkins passed his final testing phase of his Firefighter 1 course, that he has spent nearly a year working on, in the modulated version of the class. As a tradition in house, trainees/probationary firefighters are given yellow helmets to easily identify those who are not certified yet. With that said, Dylan received his black helmet, signifying his certification, last night at our Monday night meeting. Congratulations Dylan!
