Early this morning, just after 7am, KVFD was requested by Company 12 to assist with manpower on a structure fire on Number 4 Road. Engine 56 responded with a crew of four. Once on scene, 56's crew assisted with interior attack, ventilation and overhaul of the structure.

This afternoon at about 1:20pm, Company 5 was requested by Company 12 for assistance with a brush fire. A reported two acre brush fire was along South Preston Highway, just north of Tunnelton. Units 51, 52, and 54 went en route with a crew of 5.

Just before midnight, Company 5 was alerted via automatic mutual aid for a confirmed structure fire at the Indian Rocks trailer court, to assist Company 9. Engine 56 and Unit 54 went en route with a crew of five.

Today just after 6pm, KVFD was paged for a miscellaneous fire at Camp Dawson. Caller stated that the dishwasher was on fire at the Mountaineer Challenge Academy kitchen, and that there was flames and black smoke.

Engine 56 and Squad 5 responded to a vehicle accident with fire late Monday night. Upon arrival crews found a single vehicle into a utility pole and fully involved. Fortunately, all occupants were able to exit the vehicle with no injuries.

At 8:44PM Company 5 was paged out for an MVC with entrapment on route 7, between Maple Lane and Caddell Bridge. Squad 5, Unit's 52 and 54 went en route with 8 personnel. On scene, a Jeep was found on its side, mostly off the roadway and partially in a ditch.

Just before 11PM, Company 5 was paged out as automatic mutual aid to Company 12 for a Structure Fire on Metz Hollow in Tunnelton. Engine 55 was requested for water supply, along with manpower. Engine 55 and Unit 54 went enroute with a crew of 7.

At 3:45pm, Company 5 and Company 6 per automatic mutual aid were dispatched for a brush fire on Sandy Bottom Road. Units 54 and 52 went en route from Kingwood and 94 from Reedsville went en route. Chief 5 took command once on scene and stood Reedsville down.

Just after midnight, KVFD was paged out for an MVC on herring road involving power lines, with unknown injuries. Squad 5, Units 52 and 54 went en route with a crew of 7. Once on scene, KAMP Ambulance and law enforcement were already on scene.

KVFD was requested to assist company 10 with a brush fire. Companies 1, 2 and 11 were also alerted. Company 5 arrived on scene to assist with extinguishing hot spots and fire line operations. After about an hour, 52 and 54 with their crew of 5 returned.

Company 5 was dispatched at 6:46 pm for a single vehicle MVC into a tree, over an embankment. Squad 5, Units 52 and 54 went enroute with 7. Once on scene, 5-2 took command. A pick-up was found to be just off the roadway on a steep embankment into a tree.

Just after 1am, Company 5 was requested for tanker and manpower to assist with a structure fire on Eisentrout Road. Engine 55 went en route with a crew of 5 and assisted with providing water, as well as the personnel assisted with overhauling the structure and putting out hot spots found.

At 10:46PM, KVFD was alerted for a Structure Fire on Number 4 Road in Tunnelton, to assist. Company 4 Fellowsville was also dispatched for this. Engine 56 and Unit 54 responded with 7 personnel, and assisted Tunnelton with interior attacks and overhaul of the structure.

At 10:18am, KVFD was paged for a single vehicle MVC near Richview Apartments on Route 7. Squad 5 and Unit 52 responded and found a vehicle partially off the roadway that struck a wooden fence. With no injuries, KVFD assisted with traffic control as the car was quickly towed away.

Just a couple hours after returning from Masontown, at 4:24 Company 5 was paged for a fire at the Appalachian Wood Pellets plant on Mill Road. The caller stated there were flames shooting out of a stack from their drier system.
