Today thing KVFD responded to two calls, one MVC and one miscellaneous fire. The MVC occurred around 2:30pm on Rt. 26S, near the Snider Loop/Old Tunnelton pike intersection, near Preston Machine. Company 5 provided traffic control during the incident and were back in station after about an hour.

At 5PM today, Tower 5, Engine 56, and Squad 5 responded to a reported structure fire this evening on Elkins Avenue. First arriving units found light smoke coming from the rear of the structure. Crews located smoldering debris under the back porch of the residence.
