| 8:19am KINGWOOD FIRE DEPT (WV) Incident - Structure Fire - MILL RD, KINGWOOD WV
This morning, the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, along with mutual-aid departments Albright, Tunnelton, and Aurora, responded to a reported fire at Appalachian Wood Pellets, part of the Lignetics Group.
Upon arrival, Engine 56 secured a water supply while its crew assessed the situation and quickly went to work. Firefighters worked to safely remove burning material from a sawdust hopper.
A deluge system was activated before Engine 56 arrived, helping contain the fire amid concerns from plant personnel about the potential for a dust explosion.
All departments and Terra Alta EMS cleared the scene after approximately three hours.
