At 14:37 KVFD was paged to assist Company 9 Reedsville on a brush fire in the Kanes Creek area. Unit 52, 51 and Engine 57 responded. On scene firefighters worked to contain about 4 acres on fire and moving fast. Firefighters from Reedsville, Masontown, Tunnelton, Kingwood and Cool Springs out of Mon. County raked a fire line around the fire to contain it in a few hours. Crews then manged the line to make sure the fire didn't jump the line and put out hot spots. KVFD cleared at 17:00. WV Div. of  Forestry was on hand to assist.
