Assist Company 11 - Structure Fire

Around 3:30pm today, KVFD was dispatched via automatic mutual aid for a structure fire in Terra Alta. 11 firefighters marked up, Engine 55 and Unit 54 went en route. Upon arrival, the fire was under control and KVFD crews assisted with overhaul and salvage operations. Also on scene was Company 2 Aurora, along with two departments from Garrett county, Maryland, Company 40 from Oakland and Company 20 from Deer Park. Company 5 cleared the scene at 5pm.

Kingwood was alerted for a structure fire along South Preston Hwy. Engine 56, Unit 54 and 51 responded with a crew of 5. On scene firefighters worked to extinguish a partially demolished mobile home, that was fully involved.

Kingwood was requested to assist Company 6 Masontown on a combined brush fire with 2 outbuildings on fire. Engine 55’s crew was tasked with extinguishing the 2nd outbuilding. Company 9 Reedsville and KAMP Ambulance were also on scene.

Engine 56 responded with 6 personnel to a reported fully involved vehicle fire. Engine 56 went on scene confirming a fully involved vehicle and had the fire under control in minutes. No injuries were reported.

Kingwood VFD was paged for a smoke investigation, after receiving further information a second page was requested, upgrading to smoke in a structure. Engine 56, Engine 55, Units 54 and 51 responded. Arriving units on scene had visible smoke coming from the home.

Engine 56, Unit 52, 54 and 51 responded to a structure fire on Wiley Ln. Crew arrived to find heavy smoke conditions. KVFD quickly went to work making an interior attack. Eventually interior operations had to be abandoned and went to exterior operations.

This morning about quarter past 10, KVFD, along with KAMP and Terra Alta Ambulances were alerted for a two vehicle collision with two to three patients. Squad 5 and Unit 52 responded with a crew of 7. EMS informed Company 5 that there was extrication needed for two patients.
